Kate & Scott

Congratulations to Kate & Scott who got married this year at El Restaurante el Padrastro in Mijas Pueblo. The happy coupl got married the day before at the Registro Civil in Mijas Town Hall. On the big day, Kate got ready at the fabulous Hotel Mijas, and got to the Padrastro (just a wee bit late!) by Horse and Carriage. Following the ceremony we took some shots at the Padrastro which boasts breathtaking panaramic views down to the Coast, whilst guests enjoyed some mouth-watering tapas!

We then proceeded to take some shots in and around the fantastic village of Mijas Pueblo, before heading back to their villa for the reception

We would like to thank Kate & Scott for choosing to use the services of Curran Photography to capture their special moments, and we wish them all the happiness in their married life.

Regards

2010 Weddings at a glance

Dear all

What a fantastic year. I would like to thank all the brides and grooms of 2010 for choosing to us the services of Curran Photography to capture their special moments!

Our weddings this year took place in Gibraltar, Nerja, Marbella, Benalmadena, Mijas Pueblo, Almunecar, Carrickfergus & Belfast. I got to visit and photograph at all my favourite locations and hotels. From the fabulous Torres de San Juan to Marinas de Nerja, Tamisa Golf Hotel to Sunset Beach Club, the Guadalmina to the Don Carlos - each venue unqique and each on has that WOW factor.

Many thanks to all the wedding planners we worked with and of course the day cordinators as well.

Thanks to Ricky who came out to work as second photographer at weddings in June - he thought he was getting a 10 day holiday and in fact extended his stay by one week in order to work more; with barely a day off in between!

Finally thanks to my wife Julie for all her extremely hard work over this last year - thousands upon thousands of photographs to narrow down and edit as well as looking after our 2 children. She also spent last weekend choosing the photos for this slideshow!

Thanks again to you all

Roll on 2011!!!!

Yours sincerely

Justin Curran

Our Fashion Promo DVD

Dear all

In September we contacted Darren Richardson who is a videographer for Marbella Productions to document a Fashion Shoot with us. We had several ideas for themes for the shoot and discussed them at length, essentially it was to follow how we view a shoot and our hopes and plans for the fuutre.

We chose to work alongside our very fantastic team of hair & make-up stylists Mia Sisters from Fuengirola, Spain. As regards models we chose our favourite models from our 2010 fashion season:

1) Samuel Lopez
2) Nuria Gracia

With Sam we chose a fantastic rustic location - an abandoned farmhouse near La Cala Golf. We did a shoot at this location before and the setting is dramatic, and the landscape is so scenic. The graffitti on the walls adds to the atmosphere and we couldn't have chosen a better location.

With Nuria we chose a very chic Beach Club on the outskirts of Marbella - Bono's Beach in Urb el Rosario, and again the atmosphere lent itself to some fantastic shots as well as very crystal clear sunset shot!

For clothing we used clothes from Zara for the very chic look on both our models.

The results from the shoot are fantastic and we could not be happier with the overall result produced by the team from Marbella Productions. Thanks to Aiden & Darren for all their effort, help and work throughout both shoots. To view the results you can click on the following link:

Thanks to all the models, designers and fashion agents I worked with in 2010.

A huge Thank you goes to Wendy Van der Veen of Damaris Boutiques for her help, advice and support. And to Isa & the girls from Mia Sisters for fantastic results on our models.

Finally a huge thanks to my wife Julie who had to go through many thousands of images in post production stages!

Regards

Mary & Dave - the happy couple

Dear all

We recently landed back to Belfast, in Ireland, to photograph the wedding of our close friends Mary & Dave. Mary got ready at her house in Belfast, and from there went to Carrickfergus Castle for the ceremony. We took photos in and around the harbour and also around the grounds of this stunning castle.

From there we stopped off at Longshore Beach for some bridal party / bride & groom photos, and finally to the reception at the Holiday Inn, just off the Dublin Road in Belfast City Centre. It was a fantastic day and really fun to photograph their wedding, as we have known them now for at least 12 years. We sent their photos out to them, and they were received this weekend and we got the following lovely words from them:

"Thanks for the photos squire they came this morning and we're both very pleased with them - making me look presentable - now there is an artistic achievement!"

We wish Mary and Dave all the happiness in married life!

Kind regards

A Happy Client - Amanda & Ian

I whole heartedly recommend Curran Photos. Justin is quite simply an artist
when it comes to photography. He has given us a treasure that will preserve our
special day memories forever. His pictures not only captured the mood of the day but
were very us and look unbelievably Natural as opposed to staged. Justin was
fantastic to work with on the day and I actually forgot he was there at times.
Having been a groomsman several times I appreciate how much time can be consumed
with wedding pictures but with Justin it all just happened naturally and with very
little effort. We also got to review the product in his studio within 48hours which
was a fabulous treat. I cannot express enough how happy we are with the album and I
challenge anybody to show me a better photographer on the Costa.
Regards,
Ian
