Last wedding of the Year.....

Hi guys

I photographed my last wedding of the year on 20 November. Now time to re-charge the batteries (my batteries leaving the camera aside for now!!!).

The bride and groom were Michelle & Peter from Alicante. Their service was at the registry office in Gibraltar then reception back at the Sunset Beach Club. A really cool couple, very relaxed and took all in their stride.

Couldn´t have asked for a better way to end the 2009 season.

Am now planning my new sequence of shots for next year.....who will be the first to see?

Wedding at Sunset Beach today

Hi all

Am off to a wedding today at Sunset Beach. Will be a small wedding only 4 people, bride & groom & 2 kids. Am looking forward to it, should get some really funky little shots done today, and no elbows in my way taking my set-up shots! So reckon it will be stress-free!

This wedding was really good fun - videography was done by Gary Tapp, really cool style of video - brides & grooms take note!

We have taken a stand at this years Mother, Baby & Toddler Show at th Palacio de Congresos in Estepona. The show takes place on Friday 9 & Saturday 10 October . We will be at stand number 72 and will be setting up a mini-studio for you and your kids. We have decided to go with a Halloween Theme, and have a range of fancy dress clothes for your kids.

There will be a special price on offer at our stall so come along and have a look at our albums and have that special halloween portrait!

The Rock Chick Shoot

Guys we found the most fantastic location for this shoot - when I say we, I really mean Sue! & Jess! It was ideal for a Rock Chick Shoot, a really rundown building - could have been a great home for someone if they finished building it, however I think the owner would have to evict the rats / & graffiti artist who now run the place!

The results from the shoot are fantastic - Abi & Raquel pulled the looks off to a 'T', by providing their own clothing I think added to it. We had 3 outfit changes in total and used various sections of the building. Hair & Make-Up was really punky looking and outfits completed with chunky jewllary supplied by Tickled Pink, in Mijas Pueblo. Sue & Jess did really well working the reflectors for us during the shoot, as well as setting up the beer barrels etc! Not to mention touching up on their fabulous hair & make-up!

So filming is now completed and we will let Greg get on with doing the editing, and we can't wait to see the final production.

We are off to a location shoot today, for the second part of our DVD filming. We are going to use a derelict building near La Cala Golf Course for the shoot. It looks fantastic really run down, with lots of Grffiti everywhere. So it really is ideal for the rock chick look that we are aiming for in this fashion shoot.

A busy day........

Well today we opened early. The Lavish Team arrived at 10am & we set up the studio for Hair & Make-up for Rebecca who answered our blog below for some Pregnancy Photographs. We took a good selection of photos in a range of poses.

We closed the studio & I drove to Gaucin, which is 1.5 hours from Mijas. I had a Private Wedding here at The stunning Hacienda La Herriza www.laherriza.com

The bride & groom were really cool, relaxed & up for some real reportage Photography. Am just tucking into their bbq feast as I am writing this!!!!! It is simply delicious!! I took some shots of The bride getting ready in her little cortijo suite! Then drove to Hotel Caballo Andaluz to get the button holes for the groom's party. We did some cool shots of the lads before the ceremony, which was held in the main church in Gaucin. After the ceremony we drove back to La Herriza. Barry & Nicola arrived at the same time as me, so we got on with doing some really cool shots set in the courtyard.

As the coach loads of guests arrived we did the trad formal shots then I got some v candid shots of guests milling around. This is the part I love as the people are caught naturally as they are.

Will be finished tonight around 11ish so should be home at around 1ish.

Having a pure day of non-work related relaxation. Going to have a lie in and the take the kids to beach....

Fashion Shoot @ Studio

The fashion shoot at the studio was fantastic today! Lavish team worked really hard on giving the rock chick look to our 2 stunning models Abby & Raquel. We used a black backdrop for the shots and used the 2 umbrella lights, 1 continual Portaflash bouncing of a small umbrella and we used 2 reflectors for using the natural light coming in. Firstly silver when hair & make-up started and then switched to Gold to compliment the attire.

Greg arrived at around 3 to start filming and I think he really enjoyed doing the fashion side of things. We had 3 outfit changes, did a selection of shots in the studio, then went to Boveda to do some outdoor shots and finally to Aroma, before heading back to the studio for a group shot!

We will be making a 5 minute documentary on the fashion industry in Spain, concentrating on our team. The 5 minute doc will be in 2 parts:

Part 1: studio shoot - hair & make-up being done, studio shots of models, general introduction to the team - on Friday 2 October

Part 2: location shoot - at Malaga Port with the same team more concentration on the shoot / hair & make-up and location scenary etc.

A reduced 1 minute clip will also be available to watch on this blog coming soon....will keep you posted on the shoot as we do it.

Wedding Sunset beach

We photographed Elizabeth & Tony's wedding @ Sunset Beach Club on Saturday. There is something about this date (26 Septmber) as it always seems to rain on this day. It was just a drizzily day, so we had an indoor ceremony on the 5th floor, followed by evening reception in Salon Malaga. We did a few outdoor shots - really nice group shot on the bridge over pool. Bride & groom were really cool did a few shots out on the rocks - nearly got pulled into the sea so called it a day at that stage! Great wedding though.

Am off to a wedding in Nerja at the lovely venue of Torres de San Juan, which is by-far my favorite venue on the coast! Looking forward to working with Greg from www.solwedding.com and DJ Ian Preston from www.ianprestonentertainment.com 2 great suppliers.
